This is a very long process, that is being a bit overly documented.

WELL  HERE'S THE FIRST PICTURE OF THE START Of OUR NEW DOJO.

It will be 25 x 30 Mat. changing rooms, full facilities, and no more scraped toes from cement block walls....lol

The Contractor that is making the Dream affordable

The work is slow, the contractors help is unqualified (me), but it sure is going together nicely!

Still going...8-22-06..And a long way to go...

  Completed Cross Bracing and Leveled!!

The floor is completed ready for the walls to be framed up and Raised....

before we continue...ITS PLAY TIME!!!!

The First two Walls are UP!!!!

All the walls are up!! and the doors are framed up.

The Roof Trusses were a Bear to build and definately a booger to put up

Its definately Tall.. should be more than enough room with 12' clearance after the spring floor is installed.

 Russel Helping with the roof!!!

 Getting the sheathing tight....

Sheathing looks great from the bottom..Man its nice to finally have a roof over our heads....lol..

 Sheathing done Tar paper on..

Shingles yet to go..

Umm ya notice whos doing the roof if it leaks right?...lol.. No you are doing a really good job guys!!

Half Done... Time to start the siding, Instead of watching you guys work.

Ok now it looks like some mad progress!!! Have to do the routering on the trim for covering the seam yet.. but It really feels good to accomplish these tasks!

Jurgen, and Dan Closing in the roof gables.  Soon we will be water tight and can start on the spring floor!!

Well we actually have the doors done and trimmed out now but its too dark to take the pic.. I will post it lower.

With the rest done on the outside it was time to finish the roof trusses. I did this last as I wanted to tie them into the walls since the building is so tall. Big winds dont scare me now.. you will also notice that every second truss has a hurricane load strap on it.. overkill I know but lots of fun to install...lol

Im just so proud of them I had to show em at a different angle.. notice that only half the trusses are done. Soon as this side is completed I can take the beam down...(gotta figure out what to do with that 4x4 I have to use it somewhere....)

Well in the pic it doesnt look as big...but the 6' Ladder next to the wall should help with size determination...Lol.. Its a 16' Long wall 8' Tall 22' away from the camera

(Dont ask Why I have so many cardboard boxes on top please).

And its under construction.. no hard times about the stuff on the floor or you can carry the water and chop the wood...lol

8' Deep changing room with an 8' Storage/supply room in back... (till I get the plumbing permit..)

cant resist another photo to overly document the progress

Here's the new header installed in compliance with what needed to be, as well as the new cripple board installed.

All you have to do is open the door...

(And till its done you still have to work, NO PLAY Yet!...lol...)

Chalk Lining the Plywood two boards at a time...

note the height of completed ones behind Jake.

AHHH.. Busted  Caught with the masks off...

Heres the back wall and part of the side with the insulation up..

you can See the amount of spring boards that are done now...

The front wall is completed, the fuse panel is completely done now too!!

The insulation on a Wall complete and Little Dan back out of the foam ( he fell inside the roll..LOL...)

Well there's a ton of construction mess all around it but the door to the changing room is finally up now! Just have to trim up the top with some plywood.

The offending header was removed and Here's the Cavalry in to help chisel away at the door frame to fit in the new header...

Here's the spring floor side shot..

Halfway put together.

A big thanks to Jim at the Denver Dojo for sharing his floor plans with me.

It was extremely helpful to have it right there in print in front of me the whole time.

The ceiling going up and the side Light cover being installed!!

The Mat trim being laid down by Rob during his Mid Tour Leave.

The Mat being laid down and then Taped together...

The Vinyl Tatami installed all thats left is to re-stretch it after it relaxes overnight.

(no install pics were shot due to the graphic hand gestures being made as it was being stretched out...LOL.. what a booger this was to accomplish)

The Path to every good training place is set in stone by the teacher. All you have to do is trustingly walk that path.

 One down one to go.....

The Freshly Painted Dojo.. Thanks Guys/Gals... It doesn't Seem so Big now.. Hard to Believe there is a 30ft Mat in there

  The  "Recuperation Device"

I really Appreciate everyone that helped me with this...
